Doctor and Practice Overview
Dr. Rubin has been the team Podiatrist for the Iona College Athletic team since 1989. He is certified to perform numerous procedures including Shock Wave Therapy for heel spurs and diagnostic Ultrasound/Guided injections for soft tissue deformities. Dr. Rubin is the first physician in Westchester County to be trained and certified in the use and applications of the Avicenna High Power Therapeutic Laser. He currently serves on the Advisory Board to Avicenna. Dr. Rubin is an active staff member of Sound Shore Medical Center, New Rochelle, N.Y.
Dr. Rubin's special interests include: biomechanics of gait, sports medicine of the foot, pediatric foot problems and advances in High Power Laser therapy. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics.
After completing her undergraduate education at Fordham University, Dr. Julia A. Rabadi attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine earning her D.P.M. in 2010. She then went on to graduate from a three year residency at New York College of Podiatric Medicine through affiliations with Metropolitan Hospital on the Upper East Side in Manhattan and Lincoln Medical Center, a Level One trauma facility, in the Bronx, NY. Dr. Rabadi is an Associate Clinical Instructor at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
At these facilities, Dr. Rabadi has gained vast training and experience in Diabetic wound care, as well as the correction of common deformities such as bunions and hammertoes. Throughout her residency, she has gained an extensive understanding in the evaluation and treatment of pediatric abnormalities. In addition to her formal training, Dr. Rabadi has made multiple medical missions to the Baja Peninsula in Mexico to service the underprivileged with simple to complex deformities as well as volunteer her skills at several running marathons. Julia speaks fluent Spanish and Italian.
