Doctor and Practice Overview
Dr. Rubin has been the team Podiatrist for the Iona College Athletic team since 1989. He is certified to perform numerous procedures including Shock Wave Therapy for heel spurs and diagnostic Ultrasound/Guided injections for soft tissue deformities.
Dr. Rubin's special interests include: biomechanics of gait, sports medicine of the foot, pediatric foot problems and advances in High Power Laser therapy. He is Board Certified in Podiatric Orthopedics.
Dr. Payel Ghosh was born and raised in Central New Jersey. After completing her undergraduate studies at Rutgers University, where she graduated with honors she attended the School of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University for the next four years. She ultimately received the Michael Stone Award through ABFAS for recognition of her merits as a student. Payel concluded her post-graduate training at St. Luke’s Hospital of Allentown, Pa. from 2014 to 2017 where she served as “Chief Resident” during her final year.
Through her extensive training including arthroscopic surgery, reconstructive forefoot and rearfoot surgery, pediatric limb deformities and limb salvage surgery, she has become well rounded in all aspects of Podiatry. In addition to surgery, she is heavily interested in Wound Care. She attends the Rescue Mission regularly to provide care to the homeless and underprivileged. She has worked with medical students to provide care throughout the community. She has also volunteered at multiple sporting events and marathons including the Boston Marathon as well as the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure in Philadelphia, PA.
Aside from her true passion of Podiatry, she enjoys cooking, various outdoor activities and spending time with her family and friends.
